Wonderful two page original print from an 1895 issue of the satirical American magazine "The Wasp." A series of images depicts humorous, stereotypical types of people one might find in Victorian America. Each picture pokes fun at a different trope with accompanying captions. A small bumble-bee cherub sharpens his arrow with a knife in the foreground with the phrase: "The grave and gay do here combine, walk in and choose your Valentine.
This lithograph is in beautiful condition with bright colors and clear graphics. There are no tears or scratches present, but there is some light foxing throughout. This one page image, is composed of two separate pages and folds down the center. The back contains various articles from the original magazine.
